The City of Chicago Department of Human Resources has introduced a new website, CAREERS, for employment applications which can be accessed at the City of Chicago CAREERS Web Site. Jobs will be listed on the CAREERS website only when an approved vacancy exists. CAREERS enables candidates to complete applications from any computer with Internet access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This new system requires users to create a profile prior to submitting a job application or bid application. By completing a profile, an applicant may designate specific jobs they are interested in and will be notified via email, if provided for, of jobs available for application.
Librarian Applicants - For Librarian I and II positions, you may also send a copy of your resume, cover letter and three references to the Chicago Public Library Human Resources Department.
Library Associate, Clerical and Administrative positions at the Chicago Public Library will be posted on the CAREERS website as they become open for application.
Applications are accepted online at www.cityofchicago.org/careers.
