Young Writer’s Poetry Contest at West Town Branch

Win prizes, be published in our West Town Young Writers chapbook and present your work aloud at our Young Writer's Poetry Reading!

Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to submit their original poetry, prose, short stories and essays for this month-long contest at West Town Branch.

Entry forms are available at the branch and should be attached to each entry. Turn in your entries to West Town Branch staff by April 21st to be part of the contest and/or chapbook. Limit 5 entries per person.

Final selections will be made by West Town Branch staff and volunteer judges from Chicago Publishers Resource Center (CHIPRC). All writers are invited to present their work at our Young Writer's Poetry Reading on April 28.
