Renew Library Materials
Materials may be renewed through your My CPL account or via the automated telephone system at (312) 747-4636. They also may be renewed in person or by phone at any library location. Items may not be renewed if there are fines/fees exceeding $1 or lost materials on your patron account. Your My CPL account does not reflect accrued fines until materials are renewed or returned.
If you have overdue items on your patron account but do not owe fines/fees exceeding $1, please call or visit any library location to have library staff renew your materials. You may not renew materials online or via the automated telephone system if there are overdue items on your patron account.
Most items may be renewed a maximum of three times if no one else has placed a hold on the item. Museum Passports and interlibrary loan materials may not be renewed.
