The Wednesday Wars book Holling Hoodhood is an ordinary 7th grader and thinks his teacher, Mrs. Baker, hates his guts. On Wednesday afternoons the rest of his class goes to Catechism or Hebrew school at their churches. Holling is neither Catholic nor Jewish, which means he is stuck with Mrs. Baker on every Wednesday afternoon. What Mrs. Baker is doing to Holling if she really hates his guts?
