Can I use a computer if I don’t have a library card?

If you live in Chicago, you need to get a Chicago Public Library card to use a computer.

If you’re visiting Chicago, you can get a daily guest pass by showing a photo ID verifying that you don't live in Chicago or in a community with a reciprocal library.

If you live in a community with a reciprocal library, you are not eligible for a daily guest pass. You'll need a library card from your home library, which you can use to get a Chicago Public Library reciprocal library card. Once you have a reciprocal library card, you can use a computer.
