Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble member Kevin Anderson and actor Mike Nussbaum will read selections from The Coast of Chicago. Kevin Anderson has appeared in the films Sleeping with the Enemy and A Thousand Acres. He can be seen in Steppenwolf’s 2004 production of I Never Sang for My Father. Mike Nussbaum has appeared in many Steppenwolf productions including Glengarry Glen Ross and Death of a Salesman. He will be appearing in The Dresser at Steppenwolf next season.

Take a walking tour of these two neighborhoods featured in The Coast of Chicago. These formerly Eastern European neighborhoods now celebrate Mexican and Mexican American culture and heritage. Enroll in “Chicago’s One Book: Issues and Perspectives”
The centerpiece of this interdisciplinary, graduate-level course will be Stuart Dybek’s The Coast of Chicago. DePaul University invites adults to take this opportunity to read the city’s book selection in a setting that reaches beyond the limits of a book discussion group. This 10-week course meets on Wednesday evenings, beginning March 31 (Prerequisite: bachelor’s degree).
