Kraft Great Kids
The Kraft Great Kids initiative, generously sponsored by Kraft Foods, provides year-round programming to make reading fun for children.
Monthly Family Night
From October to April, the Library partners with the Chicago Park District to provide Monthly Family Night literacy programs at 12 parks. The events feature a light dinner, stories, songs, games and crafts for children ages 6 to 12 and their families.
- All children must attend with a parent or guardian.
- All participants must register through the participating park.

Kidsmobile
In June, July and August, the Library and Park District bring the Summer Learning Challenge to 24 parks/playlots via the Kraft Great Kids Kidsmobile, which provides activities including crafts, sports and, of course, reading.
