Kraft Great Kids

The Kraft Great Kids initiative, generously sponsored by Kraft Foods, provides year-long programming for children across the city. During the school year, the Library partners with the Chicago Park District to provide Monthly Family Night literacy-based programs to 12 parks. Stories, songs, games and crafts all contribute to an evening that makes reading FUN for children ages 6-12 and their families. In the summer months, the Library and Park District work together to bring the Summer Reading Program to 24 unstaffed parks throughout the City, providing structured activities in art, sport, and of course, reading.

The Kraft Great Kids initiative also includes the Museum Passport, through which adult residents of the City of Chicago may check out passes to visit 13 of Chicago's world-class Museums for free, with their valid Chicago Public Library card.”
