Ages 8 and up. Get up close and personal with the human body as award-winning author and illustrator David Macaulay leads readers through a tour of the major systems inside the human body. Through astounding cross-sections and detailed anatomical drawings, Macaulay builds not only the human structure but our understanding of the complexity instead each of us. Macaulay is the recipient of numerous awards including the Caldecott Medal and Honor Awards and he was awarded a 2006 MacArthur Foundation Fellowship.

Join us to unravel the mysteries of mummies using the secrets of science.Visit our galleries to discover ancient Egyptian mummies from thousands ofyears ago, and test your knowledge with our own laboratory mummy. See "Mummies Made in Egypt," an animated and live-action film from the award winning Reading Rainbow series and browse the latest in children's books on ancient Egypt. Then use computer interactives to see how CT scans reveal what mummies look like without everhaving to open up their coffins. A "Guess the Gummy Mummies" contest adds to the excitement during this special evening of fun and learning for the whole family. FREE!
