Summer Reads for Adults

 2007 Reading Guide
The Summer Reads for Adults Program encourages adults to read works relating to a central theme. Readers may join adult book discussion groups or read individually. Special events, programs, author appearances and prizes will be offered.

The Summer Reads for Adults Program is designed to engage adults in reading activities throughout the summer. The program offers a wide range of reading material developed around a central theme.  Parents and caregivers of young readers enrolled in our Children's Summer Reading Program will find this program complementary in theme and purpose: to expose Chicagoans to great books and to create a culture of reading.
