Use Plymouth Court Entrance. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. The event begins at 7:30, with a reception to follow.

This is a free event, but registration is mandatory. Chicago Public Library staff and guests may register online through Eventbrite. After you have completed your ticket order, you will receive a confirmation email. Please print out the ticket that is attached to that email and bring it with you to the event. The printout confirms your registration.

Seating in the auditorium will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that books will not be sold at this event, and there will be no author signing.

The Sutherland Lecture honors the late Zena Sutherland, professor emeritus and retired editor of the Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books.
