DESCRIPTION:Soprano saxophonist Shimon Marcucci's concert, 'East Meets West,' combines jazz improvisation, Indian raga, and classical sounds.  All of the music has been newly-composed and was inspired, in part, by texts and characters from the works of Rudyard Kipling.  Members of Mr. Marcucci's ensemble will be Yuki Nobuhara-Asada, Ray Coyle, Jon Novi, and Mike Combopiano.
