DESCRIPTION:<p>In conjunction with Chicago Artists Month, Beth Shadur will discuss her exhibit at the library, <em>Away with the Faeries: Mixed Media Paintings by Beth Shadur</em>. Inspired by an artist residency in Ireland,&nbsp;these paintings explore the ancient sacred symbol of the spiral as found in nature and in the artwork of early civilizations.&nbsp; <em>Away with the Faeries</em> will be on display August 24&ndash;October 26, on the 8th floor of the Harold Washington Library Center.</p>
