DESCRIPTION:<p>Though most often seen in his Ultimate Science Show, Mike Offutt is also a storyteller (taaaaaaallllll Tall Tales), banjo player, and bandleader. What's the Kitchen Band? Well, Mike brings all the instruments ... spoons, bones, washtub bass, bicycle horn, cowbell and other homemand instruments. He recruits his band from the audience ... and generally he ''stays after' to accommodate the long line of kids and adults who want to try out the theremin (think Beach Boys, <em>Good Vibrations</em>). <br><br>This program for children ages 2-10 and families will be held outdoors at the Pritzker Park on Van Buren and State Street.</p>
