DESCRIPTION:Former U.S. Poet Laureate Louise Gl&uuml;ck will read from her work in celebration of the 54th annual Poetry Day. Among her numerous books of poetry, <em>Averno</em> (2006) was a finalist for the National Book Award in Poetry, <em>The Wild Iris</em> (1992) received a Pulitzer Prize, and <em>The Triumph of Achilles</em> (1985) received the National Book Critics Circle Award. She has also published an award-winning collection of essays and been honored with fellowships from the Guggenheim and Rockefeller Foundations. A book signing will follow the reading. <br>&nbsp;<br>Louise Gl&uuml;ck is a writer-in-residence at Yale University and was this year's recipient of the Wallace Stevens Award for outstanding and proven mastery in the art of poetry.<br><br><br>Co-sponsored by the <a href='http://www.poetryfoundation.org/' target='_blank' title='Poetry Foundation'>Poetry Foundation</a>
