DESCRIPTION:<p><a href='http://www.colum.edu/' title='Columbia College Chicago Website'>Columbia College Chicago</a> Fiction Writing Department presents&nbsp;17th Annual Story Week Festival of Writers programs in partnership with the Chicago Public Library.<br><br><strong>Emma Donoghue</strong> appears in conversation with <strong>Garnett Kilberg Cohen</strong> to discuss her&nbsp;powerful novel titled <strong><em><a href='http://www.chipublib.org/search/details/cn/8490314' title='Room in CPL catalog'>Room</a></em></strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;Told entirely in the language of the energetic, pragmatic five-year-old Jack,&nbsp;<em>Room</em> is a celebration of resilience and the limitless bond between parent and child, a brilliantly executed novel about what it means to journey from one world to another.<br><br>Garnett Kilbert Cohen is an instructor at Columbia College Chicago and was named a Distinguished Artist there in 2007.&nbsp; She has published two collections of short stories, most recently <em>How We Move the Air,</em> along with&nbsp;numerous other publications.<br><br>Seating is in the Cindy Pritzker Auditorium and available <em>first come, first served</em>.
