DESCRIPTION:<p><a href='http://www.colum.edu/' title='Columbia College Chicago Website'><strong>Columbia College Chicago</strong></a> Fiction Writing Department presents&nbsp;17th Annual Story Week Festival of Writers programs in partnership with the Chicago Public Library.<br><br><strong>Emma Donoghue</strong> appears in conversation with <strong>Karen Lee&nbsp;Osborne</strong> to discuss her&nbsp;noted collection of short stories titled <em><strong><a href='http://www.chipublib.org/search/details/cn/8637038/results/1/' title='Astray in CPL catalog'>Astray</a></strong></em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;The characters featured in these stories&nbsp;include&nbsp;a cross-section of society, such as&nbsp;runaways, drifters, gold miners, counterfeiters, attorneys, and slaves from Puritan Massachusetts and revolutionary New Jersey to antebellum Louisiana.<br><br>Karen Lee Osborne is a writer and&nbsp;has taught at Columbia College Chicago since 1987.&nbsp;&nbsp;Her novels include <em><a href='http://www.chipublib.org/search/details/cn/882148/results/1/' title='C. Simpson in CPL catalog'>Carlyle Simpson</a></em> and <em><a href='http://www.chipublib.org/search/details/cn/1132827' title='Hawkwings in CPL catalog'>Hawkwings</a></em>.</p>
<p>Seating is in the Cindy Pritzker Auditorium and available <em>first come, first served</em>.
