DESCRIPTION:Gillian Flynn, author of the bestselling novel&nbsp;<em><a href='http://www.chipublib.org/search/details/cn/8620576' title='Gone Girl in CPL Catalog'>Gone Girl</a></em>,&nbsp;joins us to read from and discuss her much talked about&nbsp;book.<br><br>The Chicago writer is a former TV critic for <em>Entertainment Weekly</em>.&nbsp; Her previous novels are <em><a href='http://www.chipublib.org/search/details/cn/2209115' title='Sharp Objects in CPL Catalog'>Sharp Objects</a></em>, an Edgar Award finalist and the winner of two of Britain's Dagger Awards, and <em><a href='http://www.chipublib.org/search/details/cn/8379942' title='Dark Places in CPL Catalog'>Dark Places</a></em>.<br><br>This event is presented by the <a href='http://www.midlandauthors.com/' title='Society of Midland Authors'>Society of Midland Authors</a>, an organization established in 1915 for published authors in the Midwest.&nbsp; The Chicago Public Library is pleased to co-host this event.<br><br>Seating is available first come, first served.&nbsp;&nbsp;Reservations are not required.&nbsp;&nbsp;Books are&nbsp;available for purchase and Ms. Flynn&nbsp;will autograph books at the conclusion of the program.
