About this event:
Sumathi Natarajan will discuss her Madhubani Art exhibit at the library. Madhubani is part of a rich cultural heritage that originated from the Mithila region of the eastern Indian state of Bihar. By working with traditional techniques, the artist hopes to bring about international awareness of the ancient art forms of rural India.
Madhubani: Artworks by Sumathi Natarajan will be on display January 11-February 28, 2013, in the flat exhibit cases on the 8th floor of the Harold Washington Library Center.
The Artist Talk will take place in the Art Reference Room on the 8th floor.
