Date: Wed. December 19, 2012

Time: 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Location:
Budlong Woods
5630 N. Lincoln Avenue
60659

Program: Teen Volume

About this event:

Meet NANCY GROSSMAN, author of A World Away, the story of Eliza, a sixteen year-old Amish girl on her Rumspringa. Eliza explores the modern world through a job working as a nanny and, after discovering more about herself, her family and the world at large, must decide if she’s ready to return to the Amish community or not.  Which would you choose? As part of the Now is the Time Project , which encourages teens to make positive change in their communities, Teen Voume programs in December offer opportunities for teens ages 12-18 to meet local authors and participate in conversations about making a embracing difference, difficult choices and meaningful difference in our city!
