About this event:
Gerry Souter discusses and signs copies of his new book titled American Shooter: A Personal History of Gun Culture in the United States.
Mr. Souter, a Mount Prospect resident, takes a personal look at gun ownership, handgun bans, shooting sports and the controversy over how to interpret the Second Amendment from the point of view of a liberal gun owner and enthusiast. Souter and his wife, Janet, have authored or co-authored more than 40 nonfiction books on history, biography, art and other topics.
This event is presented by the Society of Midland Authors, an organization established in 1915 for published authors in the Midwest. The Chicago Public Library is pleased to co-host this event.
Seating is available first come, first served. Reservations are not required. Books are available for purchase and Mr. Souter will autograph books at the conclusion of the program.
