Join us as Don DeLillo reads from The Angel Esmeralda and discusses his work. Mr. DeLillo will be joined in conversation by Donna Seaman, Senior Editor of Booklist.
Don DeLillo, the author of fifteen novels, including Underworld, Falling Man, White Noise, and Libra, has won the National Book Award, the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, the Jerusalem Prize for his complete body of work and the William Dean Howells Medal from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. In 2010, he was awarded the PEN/Saul Bellow Prize. His most recent work, The Angel Esmeralda: Nine Stories, was a finalist for the 2011 Story Prize and the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction.
Mr. DeLillo has been awarded the 2012 Carl Sandburg Literary Award by the Chicago Public Library Foundation and the Chicago Public Library. Mr. DeLillo's appearance is made possible with support from the Chicago Public Library Foundation.
Seating is limited and available first come, first served. Reservations are not required. Books are available for purchase at this event and Mr. DeLillo will autograph books at the conclusion of the program.
