Program: Teen Volume
About this event:
Teens in high school, ages 14-18, are invited to join Chicago Public Library's Teen Volume Reader’s Theatre Project, presented in partnership by Chicago Public Library and Promethean Theatre Ensemble. Teens perform adaptations of current teen literature available in the librarys' collections, and also help create adaptations of young adult novels, so this is a perfect opportunity for teens who both love to read and enjoy performing and acting. The teens are mentored by staff of the Chicago Public Library and Promethean Theatre Ensemble, a group of Chicago area actors, and must commit to attend rehearsals and performances twice a month in this ongoing project.
