About this event:

Join Jeffrey B. Perry as he discusses his book, Hubert Harrison: The Voice of Harlem Radicalism, 1883-1918 (Columbia University Press, 2008). A relatively obscure figure until now, Harrison was a Caribbean-born, Harlem-based writer, orator, activist, political, cultural and social critic and ardent race man. This book is the first of Perry’s two-volume biography on Harrison.
