Date: Sat. August 22, 2009
Time: 9:00 am
Program: Summer Reads for Adults
About this event:
Presented by the Green City Market and Chicago Public Library.
Everyone is welcome to join us for two very special days at the Green City Market as we celebrate Lincoln and some of the heirloom and heritage produce that was grown on the Illinois frontier in his day.
What did Lincoln eat during the war? What were soldiers’ rations like? Join chef and food historian Barbara Kuck as she explains the different dinners they might have expected.
This event will be held at the Green City Market, located in Lincoln Park between 1849 N. Clark St. and Stockton Dr.
