Location:

Program: Summer Reads for Adults

About this event:

Join local historian Momma Kemba for dramatic presentations of important women from America’s history.  Accompanied by her grandson Beji, Momma Kemba’s moving songs and stories are as entertaining as they are enlightening.  Born into slavery and denied an education, Sojourner Truth dedicated her life to speaking out against slavery, and became one of the greatest abolitionist orators, often compared to Frederick Douglass.
