Join us for this panel that looks at how the Great Migration changed politics in Chicago and across the United States.
Panelists include historian James Grossman, author of Land of Hope: Chicago, Black Southerners, and the Great Migration, Laura Washington, an ABC-7 political analyst and former member of the Harold Washington administration, and historian Cedric Johnson, author of Revolutionaries to Race Leaders: Black Power and the Making of African American Politics.
Presented as part of the current One Book, One Chicago program, which explores how migration has shaped Chicago. Part of the Edgewater Branch's Modern Lives and Movements series.
