About this event:
The migration of people around the world is an ongoing phenomenon and the subject of this
poetry writing workshop led by Tom Roby and Jenene Ravesloot. The workshop will allow participants to explore their personal involvement with global events by writing poetry in any form, including free verse. Those who wish to pre-submit poems to receive feedback at the workshop may email them to Tom Roby (firstname.lastname@example.org) in advance.
Jenene Ravesloot is a member of the Poets’ Club of Chicago, Poets & Patrons, and the Illinois State Poetry Society. She has published three books of poetry, most recently FloatingWorlds.
Tom Roby publishes and performs his poetry in Chicago while writing criticism, running workshops, and winning various competitions. He has published a chapbook and two books of poetry, most recently Pressure Points.
