LGBT Same-Sex Couples and Immigration Benefits After the Fall of DOMA
Date: Tue. November 19, 2013
Time: 6:00 pm
6000 N. Broadway Street
About this event:
The U.S. Supreme Court has struck down DOMA and U.S. immigration benefits are now a reality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons from other countries based on their same-sex marriages. Some of these benefits include green cards, work permits, temporary visas, a shorter path toward U.S. citizenship and many others.
Immigration lawyers with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) will summarize the many new immigration benefits now available to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. If this change in law will help you or someone you know, we encourage you to attend!
