POV Film Screening: Neurotypical
Date: Tue. July 30, 2013
Time: 6:30 pm
4455 N. Lincoln Avenue
About this event:
Neurotypical is an unprecedented exploration of autism from the point of view of autistic people themselves. How they and the people around them work out their perceptual and behavioral differences becomes a remarkable reflection of the 'neurotypical' world - the world of the nonautistic - revealing inventive adaptations on each side and an emerging critique of both what it means to be normal and what it means to be human.
POV (a cinema term for 'point of view') is television's longest-running showcase for independent non-fiction films. POV has presented over 300 films to public television audiences across the country. POV films are known for their intimacy, their unforgettable storytelling and their timeliness, putting a human face on contemporary social issues.Phone: 312-744-7616
