Program: Children's Summer Learning Challenge
About this event:
Teens and tweens ages 12 to 18 are invited to learn about the marvels of geodesic engineering. Participants will learn about the unique properties of geodesic construction, discover inventor and futurist, Buckminster Fuller and work together as a team to build a 3 ft diameter geodesic sphere for display in the library!
This moderated program will also include a discussion of the YA novel Gone, the first book in author Michael Grant's dystopian series where teens suddenly and inexplicably find themselves trapped inside a 20 mile dome centered over a nuclear power plant.
