About this event:
High-tech investigative imaging techniques, such as X-radiography and infrared reflectography have been used by the Art Insitute to delve beneath the surface of Claude Monet’s paintings to learn about his materials and working methods, and how his compositions evolved during the painting process. Join Art Institute Conservator Kim Muir for an explanation of the tools used by conservators and scientists at the Art Institute of Chicago and learn some of the most exciting discoveries about Monet’s paintings.
