About this event:
Chicago Public Library joins the Chicago
Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events in pre-season concerts celebrating the 30th Annual Chicago Blues Festival being held in Grant Park,
June 6-9. This year the festival theme is Rollin’ Up the River celebrating the evolution of the blues from South to North up the Mississippi.

These concerts are presented as part of the year-long celebration, under the One Book, One Chicago banner, of how migration has shaped Chicago. Join us in reading Isabel Wilkerson's The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of Americans' Great Migration and attending further events and discussions in the coming months.
