About this event:
Author, playwrite, english lecturer, and writing consultant Melda Beaty will discuss her book Lime. Lime is Ms. Beaty's debut novel and explors the notions of beauty and the bonds of friendship against the horrors of domestic violence. Ms. Beaty has authored and edited a diverse cathartic compilation of non-fiction writings. Her current play Front Porch Society was read at the Chicago Dramatist Theatre in 2011.
