Program: Early Literacy

About this event:
Mother Goose is on the loose in this fun-filled, interactive program featuring simple picture books, nursery rhymes, puppets, songs, and movement!  This program is ideal for little ones who are learning English as another language.  One adult lap per child is strongly recommended.

Designed with careful attention to early childhood development, Mother Goose on the Loose promotes the joys of shared reading, the benefits of early literacy, and the importance of the caregiver-child connection.

Age range:
0-3 years with adult caregiver

Registration limit:
20 children

Due to space and program limitations, we are unable to accommodate groups for this series.

Program dates:
This 4-week series meets on the following Thursdays in May:

May 2
May 16
May 23
May 30

Note: There is no program on May 9, when all Chicago Public Library locations are closed for All-Staff Institute Day.
