Join the Adult Book Discussion Group to discuss Half Broke Horses by Jeannette Walls.
A true life novel about the author’s grandmother Lily Casey Smith; as a child Lily helped her father break horses, as a teen she left home to teach in a one-room school house then she becomes a wife and mother. Lily runs a ranch in Arizona where she survives personal and natural disasters. As she travels across the plains we get to see how Lily grows from a tough child to an unyielding woman.
