2013 marks the 30th anniversary of Harold Washington's historic mayoral victory. Please join us for a lively panel discussion about the 1983 election moderated by Chicago Sun-Times Columnist and ABC-7 Chicago’s Political Analyst, Laura S. Washington. Distinguished panelists include Professor Timuel D. Black, Jr., Historian and Civil Rights Activist; Helen Shiller, Former Alderman for the 46th Ward and Community Activist; and Professor Dick Simpson, Political Science Department at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
