West Addison Branch began as a weekly stop of the bookmobile at Oketo Avenue and Addison Street. On June 10, 1960, the West Addison sub-branch, named after the community, opened at 7555 West Addison Street. The West Addison Branch replaced the sub-branch on May 20, 1966, when it relocated across the street at the present location.
