Logan Square Branch was dedicated October 1, 2005, replacing a smaller facility located at 3255 W. Altgeld Street from June 26, 1952 to June 16, 2005.
The branch has a reading garden. The U.S. Green Building Council granted Logan Square Branch silver certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.
