Humboldt Park
About this Library
Humboldt Park Branch was dedicated on July 13, 1996, replacing Humboldt Branch, a small storefront. The branch first opened May 27, 1912 at North Avenue and Fairfield Avenue. Over the years, the branch occupied six locations before relocating to its present site. The branch?s name was taken from the nearby park, which was named after the German scientist and naturalist, Alexander Von Humboldt (1769-1859) and designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.
