The first movie I ever saw about adult relationships was Sleepless in Seattle. I remember my mother dragging me with her to a random movie theater in the western suburbs to see some movie with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan that in my mind was for "old people."
I was 13 years old and hadn't even heard of When Harry Met Sally. I remember by the end of Sleepless in Seattle, I felt like it was one of the most hilarious, heart-warming movies I had ever seen. I immediately bought the soundtrack so I could play "When I Fall in Love" by Celine Dion (and that guy) over and over again. So of course I am excited about the re-release of Sleepless in Seattle in theaters February 9 and February 12 as part of the AMC Classic Series.
I also think it's a great tribute to the late Nora Ephron as screenwriter and director of the film and her sister, Delia Ephron, who was the associate producer on the film.
