Celebrate Roald Dahl Day

“For me, the pleasure of writing comes with inventing stories.” – Roald Dahl

Author Roald Dahl is known for his extremely inventive stories that have brought children pleasure since 1961. Celebrate his books and his love of stories on September 13, Roald Dahl Day.

Younger children will enjoy the colorful, illustrated edition of The Enormous Crocodile. A greedy, nasty crocodile develops clever tricks to eat little children instead of fish to the horror of the other jungle animals.

Older readers will love Dahl's quirky works of fiction including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and James and the Giant Peach.

Families will enjoy making “scrumdiddlyumptious” snacks together using Roald Dahl's Revolting Recipes. My personal favorites are two healthy recipes inspired by The BFG:  Snozzcumbers (a healthy cucumber and tuna fish snack) and Frobscottle (a fruity, creamy, fizzy drink).

Play with words, invent stories and enjoy all of Roald Dahl's marvelous, wonderful stories!
