About CPL
The present and future priorities of the Chicago Public Library are set forth in Chicago Public Library 2010, a new strategic plan for Chicago’s public libraries. The plan was developed as a collaborative effort with the Chicago Public Library Foundation and with generous pro bono consultation from the Boston Consulting Group. CPL 2010 identifies twenty goals in four key areas of strength upon which the institution will build, and ten goals in three areas of new strategic opportunity. The implementation of the identified goals will chart the course of the Chicago Public Library over the next five years and beyond, as the Library adapts to the dynamic role of the public library in the lives of all Chicagoans.
